The department is committed to its mission to protect our community by providing services which will insure that our county is a safe place to live, work, play, and visit; to serve our community by building partnerships with the community as we defend the Constituions of the United States and the Constituion of the State of Alabama; to promote crime prevention within the community and to enable our citiizen's quality of life which safeguards individual liberties; and committed to accomplish these goals with excellence through an open and honest administration that emphasizes service to the community, accountbability and fiscal responsibility.

The Tallapoosa County Sheriff's Department is a full service department serving the citizens of Tallapossa County. Responsible for answering emergency calls, conducting criminal investigations, civil process service, courtroom security, prisoner transports, patrol, and other designated duties.
