5/7/2008 - Special Called Meeting

The Tallapoosa County Commission held a special called meeting May 7, 2008 at the Courthouse in Dadeville, AL at 2:00 p.m. Tallapoosa Publishers was present.

Chairman Allen called the meeting to order.

Commissioner Shaw gave the invocation.

Chairman Allen led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairman Allen called the roll. Commissioner Coley and Commissioner Tapley were absent.

Consent Agenda:

Commissioner Shaw made a motion to enter into Executive Session. Commissioner Thweatt seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner Shaw made a motion to exit Executive Session. Commissioner Thweatt seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Commissioner Shaw made a motion to table the authorization of the County Administrator to take select actions regarding personnel until the May 12th meeting. Chairman Allen seconded the motion. The motion passed by a 2-1 vote. Commissioners Allen and Shaw voted yes. Commissioner Thweatt voted no.

Commissioner Shaw made a motion to adjourn. Chairman Allen seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
