District 2 Commissioner


DISTRICT 2

The current District 2 Commissioner is Steve Robinson. District 2 includes the southern part of Alexander City, the Cedar Creek area, Ourtown, and Willow Point. Located in District 2 is Wind Creek State Park. Wind Creek State Park spans 1,445 acres along the shores of Lake Martin. Wind Creek is the largest state operated campground in the United States with 636 sites. Jim Pearson Elementary School, William L. Radney Elementary School, and Benjamin Russell High School are also located in District 2. Jim Pearson houses grades k-2 with an enrollment of 856. Radney Elementary School houses grades 5-6 with an enrollment of 562. Benjamin Russell High School houses grades 9-12 with an enrollment of 949. Central Alabama Community College is also located in district 2.

 

Steve is a lifetime resident of Tallapoosa County. He is a graduate of Benjamen Russell High School, Central Alabama Community College and Auburn University. He has been married to Regina Scott Robinson for thirty-two years. They have three children; Leanne Robinson Waldrop (Mike), Ginger Robinson Lee (Randy) and Steven Robinson. The family are members of First Baptist Church in Alex City. Steve is a deacon, Gideon, Alex City School Board member, and serves in several other civic capacities.
